March 23 to 27, 2026: What to Cook This Week

What’s on the menu for the week ahead? Make everyone around the table happy on this first full week of spring with this selection of five quick, delicious and satiating meals, from an Indian-inspired lentil dish to Asian-style noodles with a kick. Which ones will become fast favourites in your home?

Monday: Dahl with Sweet Potato Spirals

This dish, which falls somewhere between a curry and a soup, makes for an excellent meatless meal. Yogurt, sweet potato spirals and spices give it texture and richness. It’s perfect, especially in this transitional period where we say goodbye to winter and ring in spring.

Tuesday: Slow Cooker Chicken with Olives and Grilled Peppers

This wonderfully comforting slow cooker dish is always welcome when it’s still cold outside. Simmer the chicken in a fragrant broth with roasted red peppers and green olives and then serve over rice or mashed potatoes.

Wednesday: Sheet-Pan Panzanella Salad with Redfish

Turn the classic panzanella salad on its head tonight by adding fish for protein. Brush the redfish with sun-dried tomato pesto dressing and then roast it alongside the croutons. Add other ingredients like cherry tomatoes, baby spinach, cucumber, shallots and capers, and this colourful dish is the kind to brighten up dinnertime.

Thursday: Pork Tenderloin with Maple and Bacon

We drew inspiration from our popular maple-glazed pork tenderloin recipe and developed this fragrant dish. The sweet and spicy sauce is made of maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, bacon pieces and spices, which you can prepare while the vegetables cook. It’s the perfect maple-forward dinner to enjoy now that it’s sugaring-off season.

Friday: Rice Noodles with Beef, Red Curry and Peanuts

Want to spice up your Friday night? Try this noodle dish with ground beef, baby bok choy and roasted peanuts. It boasts a flavourful sauce consisting of red curry, fish sauce and soy sauce, feeding your wanderlust in just 30 minutes!
