February 3 to 7, 2025: Budget Recipes to Cook This Week

What’s on the menu for the week ahead? Make everyone around the table happy with our selection of five quick, tasty and budget-friendly dishes, including creamy pork chops, a quick and easy French stew, and more!

Monday: Steak-Spiced Tofu with Sautéed Vegetables

Steak spice in a vegetarian dish? Trust us, it works! Pan sear the seasoning-covered tofu and divide the slices onto each plate along with some veggies. For a finishing touch, coat with a tasty and easy-to-make soy-based sauce.

Tuesday: Pork Chops and Kale in Cream Sauce

For a simple and efficient meal, try these pork chops in a velvety cream sauce. They’re pan-fried with a mixture of onion, garlic and green pepper as well as kale lightly wilted in cream. Serve the dish with mashed potatoes and you’ve got a recipe that checks all the boxes.

Wednesday: Quick Poule au Pot

Poule au pot is a classic French dish that definitely brings on the comfort. Warm and hearty, it usually takes a while to simmer, but that won’t work on a busy weeknight! So we’ve developed this quick version that only requires 30 minutes of cooking time.

Thursday: Trout with Beet Salad

Seasonal veggies like spinach and beets are delicious and good for you, making them a must for salads during winter; they’re both a good source of vitamin C, after all! They taste sublime alongside a white fish like trout.

Friday: Ravioli in Tomato and Eggplant Sauce

Ready-to-cook ravioli is a real win. Knowing that the meat version appeals to the kids, you’re sure to bring smiles to the table with this recipe that also boasts eggplant and olives. Everything is coated with a tomato sauce seasoned with garlic and spices. It’s Friday night pasta done right!
