October 17 to 21, 2022: What to Cook This Week

Presented by
TADA! by IGA

What’s for dinner this week? Tofu wraps, cheesy gnocchi, braised chicken legs and more. We guarantee, you’ll definitely want to make these five recipes again and again.

This week’s menu was compiled based on the products featured in this week’s IGA Quebec flyer. You can also find the five recipes on the TADA! app to help simplify meal planning and stay on budget.

Monday: Sweet and Sour Pork Tenderloins with Apple and Braised Cabbage Wedges

It’s currently apple season, and while we enjoy the popular fruit in many desserts, fall is the perfect time to include them in more savoury dishes, as well. Here, pork tenderloins are served with apple and cabbage wedges, and then topped with an addictive sauce made from apple jelly.

Tuesday: Gnocchi with Cheese and Sausage

Store-bought gnocchi comes to the rescue in this Tuesday night dish. Ready in a snap, this easy recipe is filling, cheesy and will very often be a weeknight go-to, we guarantee it.

Wednesday: Curry Tofu, Avocado and Apple Coleslaw Wraps

What could be better than sandwiches for dinner? And if you’re looking for new ways to get the kids to eat tofu, this recipe is sure to do the trick. Loaded with curried tofu, a crunchy apple slaw and creamy avocado, it’s bursting with flavour!

Thursday: Seared Salmon with Bulgur and Beets

Beets are in season, so be sure to let this colourful dish brighten up this cold fall day. Raw beets are served with salmon, bulgur (it’s a lovely red hue thanks to the addition of beet juice!) and other veggies to create a beautiful and good-for-you dish everyone is sure to enjoy.

Friday: Vinegar Chicken Legs

Vinegar chicken is a classic French dish. The chicken legs need to be braised in this tangy and complex sauce, which means it’ll take a bit more time to cook than your usual weeknight meals. But it’s Friday and the final results will be oh-so worth it, so take the time this recipe needs to be cooked to perfection.
