10 Cocktails and Mocktails for the Holidays

“Merry Christmas” and “Happy New Year” wouldn’t be the same without a “Cheers!” in between. We therefore have 10 festive drinks for you, both with and without alcohol, to toast your celebrations.

Cocktails

1. Citrus Champagne Cocktail

There is nothing more joyful than the sound of a popping cork from a Champagne (or Prosecco) bottle. Make the bubbly even more chic by adding tea and citrus gin and cubes of orange gelée. The flavours of orange and lemon are sure to get you into the festive spirit.

2. Pomegranate and Blood Orange Cocktail

With a crimson hue and festive spices, this seasonal cocktail is perfect for the holidays. It includes pomegranate and blood orange juices, rum and tonic water, making this fizzy drink great for toasting the season.

3. Santa’s Little Helper

Cranberries, raisins, orange, cinnamon…it’s practically a fruitcake in a glass! These holiday flavours are incorporated into a blend of cranberry juice, white rum and Amaro Siciliano for the most festive of cocktails.

4. Homemade Coffee Liqueur (Copycat Tia MariaTM)

What are the holidays without a glass of coffee liqueur on the rocks? This recipe boasts all the flavours of the classic, but is made from scratch right at home! You can add it to certain cocktails, or even add a splash to your coffee!

5. Frosty Grapefruit Cocktail

To obtain this beautiful foamy texture reminiscent of snow, simply blend ice cubes, vodka and grapefruit syrup together. For a more refined touch, be sure to garnish the cocktail with pieces of caramelized grapefruit.

Mocktails

6. Cranberry Raspberry Shrub Mocktail

If you’ve never heard of a shrub, it’s a mixture of fruits and spices simmered in vinegar that is used to flavour drinks. In this mocktail, it’s made with cranberries, raspberries and cider vinegar, which is then combined with sparkling water before serving.

7. Grapefruit Tonic Mocktail

The star of this mocktail? A spherical ice cube made of grapefruit juice. With a bit of tonic water, even the children will have something to drink.

8. Juniper Syrup

The aroma of juniper syrup is reminiscent of gin, thanks to juniper berries, of course, but also coriander and fennel seeds, as well as cardamom pods. Use it to flavour sparkling water, soda or or even juice.

9. Pineapple-Elderflower Fizz Mocktail

With the arrival of winter and the holiday celebrations, are you already thinking about your next trip to a warmer climate? Simply concoct this mocktail with puréed pineapple, store-bought elderflower syrup and lemon juice…and imagine you’re sitting by a palm tree instead of a Christmas tree.

10. Cranberry Holiday Punch

This holiday punch will be a hit with everyone, since it can be served with or without alcohol. Made of sparkling water, apple must and a cranberry-haskap syrup, prepare it in a large pitcher and then distribute in glasses throughout the evening.
